Who is the duo behind the positively uplifiting, hard hitting Electronica vibe you’ve been listening to and absorbing? It’s almost unheard of to have a male/female partnership in Electronic music today and yet it is precisely that Yin-Yang, the duality that cannot exist without both parts, that make Larry Arone and Maite Garcia so effective and complete. How did they come to be Moveable Sound? What do they have to say about the incorporation of Electronica and Olympic music?

The music they produce and share with the world is what we need; energizing, uplifting and balanced. Moveable Sound’s contribution to humanity helps brighten the dullness many people find themselves trying to fill with drugs, food and obsession. Their first album, “Summer 2012″ is the ideal remedy for malaise. It is, in great part, a tribute to the London 2012 Olympics. You could say “Summer 2012” is London 2012 music.

As we reflect on past and present movements in the styles of electronic music, we see that it has always been about the future and futurism. Influenced by the likes of Giorgio Moroder, Art of Noise, David Bowie, Gary Numan, Kraftwerk, and Peter Gabriel, Moveable Sound consider themselves passionate pioneers of music stretching into tomorrow. With sounds all-encompassing, swirling around you with dizzying and, at times, disorientating effects, they took their name from the physical and electrical phenomenon of sound as a blending of variable, everchanging, ephemeral transmitted vibrations.

They have no desire to appear in their videos and profess to use technology to unleash the promise of imagination. Moveable Sound is one part collaged sound collisions and two parts rhythmical innovation. Their first record ‘Summer 2012′ is a chopped, sliced and blended mix of solidly written traditional pop, dance, and invented sounds all shaped into a strikingly futuristic auralscape with a backdrop of the London 2012 Olympics .
